A native of Staten Island, NYC, Jerry Jannone attended New Dorp High School, Rhodes Preparatory and NYU. He earned a BA Psychology, MS Education; attending Columbia University, Wagner College, Newark College of Engineering, Rutgers University and Kean College. He taught in Mountainside, NJ; Berkeley Heights, NJ; and was Department Chairman in Woodcliff Lake, NJ in science. An avid pilot, he flew the camp's twin engine aircraft and was for many years a flight instructor CFI-I. Mr. Jannone was a director of the First National Bank of Bradford County for eight years, and was also a director of Keystone Financial Inc.
Jerry and his wife Dottie founded The Ballibay Camps in 1964.
Jerry passed away November 13, 2006.
