Ballibay is a summer sleep-away arts camp for boys and girls ages 6 through 16. We offer a wide range of non-competitive fine and performing arts camp activities in a fun, friendly, and authentic summer camp setting. We are located on an exquisitely beautiful 200-acre mountaintop campus in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our sessions range from 2 to 7 weeks in length.
We offer exciting programs in theater, the visual arts, music, dance, video, radio, and rock-n-roll music. We have an excellent horseback riding program, swimming instruction, and daily sports activities.
Our program is completely individual choice: campers can focus on a single activity all day, pick several to focus on, or try a little of everything! For campers who know what they want to do all day, we offer dance camp and rock camp intensive programs. Our 3-week and 4-week programs are perfect for campers who want to do theater, art, or music all day, or try a little of everything!
Camp Ballibay was established in 1964, and is American Camping Association accredited.
Well, great food is hardly new at Ballibay, but the way we are buying, growing, and preparing it is! The Ballibay Camps have proudly joined what many call a food revolution; see what we mean on our food website!
Our new staff directory allows families to get to know our teachers, counselors, and Counselors in Training. Staff can be viewed by specialty, or by categories such as "returning staff," or "staff whose children attend camp," &c...
We plan to shoot all camper performances in 4-camera live-switched high definition video this summer, as always with campers on the cameras and behind the switcher! Campers watch videos from their Ballibay days for years and years, and we have always prided ourselves in teaching and producing professional-quality video. See this video on our Facebook page for an example of the amazing difference in quality!
Parents say that our excellent, well-maintained campus and facilities are extremely impressive; but many families don't get a sense of our campus until they are dropping off or picking up their campers, and our international families rarely see our campus. So we have embarked on a major project to model our campus in Google Earth. Download this file and open it in Google Earth to see our project-in-progress.
about the summer of 2008, our 45th season of arts education in a summer arts camp setting:
My daughter has changed and grown and had the time of her life. Being in such a creative, free, open, supportive, crazy, structured, day-by-day environment was just the thing. I chose Ballibay because I hoped it would be a place where she could explore her talents, meet like-minded kids and get more exposure to Americans of her age. I could not have chosen a better place for her. She is glowing and happy and has so much to tell and share.
Kathryn, Camp Mom
The kids had a great time at camp this year. Danny didn't want to come home... Thanks so much for your great work!
Deb, Camp Mom
India can't stop talking about how much she enjoyed the camp, it is everything she or I could have hoped for.
Sera Jane, Camp Mom
Sophia had a truly wonderful time at Ballibay this summer and she was really moved! She can't wait to come back next summer and bring her sister too. Thank you for this complete enrichment in the woods! It was a very healing place...

Jazzlynn has nothing but positive things to say about her Ballibay experience. The activities you plan, the inclusive setting, the friendships you helped foster, it's all incredible, and it helped my daughter tremendously. I already can see the boost in her self confidence and I know I have you and Camp Ballibay to thank for that. Jazzlynn is already saying that she cannot wait to attend next summer.
Lynda, Camp Mom
