prospective Ballibayers, take it from me: Ballibay is the best thing since buttered toast (and anyone who knows me, knows that i loooove my toast...)

The Dining Hall

Our large dining hall seats the entire camp, where campers and staff sit together at tables of 5 or 6. After the first week of camp campers can make seating requests, and tables change each week.

Meals are served buffet-style. There are meat and non-meat entrees at every meal, there is a choice of two soups each lunchtime, and there is a terrific salad bar laid out for each lunch and dinner, as well as a table of breads and cheeses (with toasters! Kids love toast!).

After breakfast and dinner, activities are announced in the dining hall. After lunch, activities are announced at the hillside meeting (see the typical day for more on the camp schedule).

We run a "quiet dining hall" at Ballibay. The campers and staff put all their energy into rehearsals, projects, classes, lessons, and practicing; and everyone's day is very full. So at meals we sit and enjoy our food, converse, and relax.
